A space to step outside the demands of everyday life.
You may be used to holding a great deal—meeting expectations, staying composed, and continuing to move forward even when something feels off.
Over time, this can begin to feel like burnout, emotional fatigue, or a quiet sense of disconnection from yourself, your relationships, or the life you’ve built.
Hi, I’m Mitsue.
(pronounced like café and résumé)
I’m a licensed psychotherapist in California and New Hampshire, offering culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and somatically oriented therapy for individuals, couples, and relationships of every kind.
My work is deeply shaped by my multicultural upbringing as a third culture kid across many countries, my Japanese heritage, and my experience as an immigrant Asian American. I also bring over two decades of experience in global corporate and tech startup environments, which informs my work with professionals navigating high expectations, stress, and the ongoing challenge of balancing career, relationships, and personal wellbeing.
In our work together, I offer a space to slow down, reflect, and move toward a more grounded and balanced way of being.
You may be navigating…
Stress, overwhelm, and burnout
Navigating ongoing pressure and responsibility with without space to pause.
Cultural identity and belonging
Living across cultures and expectations, and navigating questions of identity, belonging, and where you feel most yourself.
Life transitions and change
Moments of transition—whether chosen or unexpected—can create a sense of uncertainty, disorientation, or the need to reconnect with yourself in a new way.
Relational patterns and connection
Noticing patterns in how you relate to yourself or others that feel difficult to understand or change.
Therapy can offer a space to slow down, take a breath, and begin to make sense of these experiences with greater clarity and intention.
In our sessions we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Therapy with me
At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for the experiences that have shaped who you are, and the work is collaborative and guided by you.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from somatic, relational, and experiential modalities, including EMDR and attachment-based frameworks when appropriate.
Alongside reflective conversation, we may at times slow down to notice what is happening beneath the surface—emotionally or physically—and explore how these patterns have taken shape over time.
This work is often a good fit for those who are open to a reflective, ongoing process to deeply understand and connect with the self.
